Have you ever seen a printed publication that has obvious spelling or grammatical errors in prominent place(s)? I have seen several reviews of printed products where a prominent factor mentioned was the proofing errors. Unfortunately it happens. And unfortunately, it may happen again. But not if you take steps to prevent it.

At Eagle Graphics, we provide word/style and graphic/color proofing to ensure you can be proud of your printed products.

Word/Style Proofing

Word proofing is considered a lost art in this technologically advanced age. Many rely on spell checkers or grammar analyzers on several of the more sophisticated word processing software. The problem with this is that . . .

. . . spell checkers don't do a complete job.

My fellow countrymen...graphicMisspellings that are actually words, wrong punctuation, inaccurate page numbers and awkward grammar will compromise an otherwise great looking piece. After all, if there are blatant errors in your own materials, can your customer expect any better from your products or services?

You'd be surprised at how many jobs we've received, -- camera ready, or on disk -- that had noticeable errors. These jobs were proofed by our customers before they were submitted to us.

Our experienced proofreading department can eliminate embarrassing or incorrect grammar and punctuation. All our design work is thoroughly proofread. Many jobs that come in on disk are also thoroughly proofread for misspellings and inappropriate punctuation or grammatical expressions. Several companies have specifically requested our proofreading service and have improved the quality of their publications.

Companies and individuals would rather have us point out
and correct errors than have their readers point them out.

Color/Graphics Proofing

You've selected a color and have in mind how you want your finished product to look. But is that the way it will turn out?

At Eagle Graphics, Inc. we carefully compare the hard copy that a customer has supplied against the printed copies that immediately come off the printing press. We check them with regards to color, clarity, positioning and look to insure an accurate printed product that meets the expectations of our customers.

We also offer either dylux proofs or your personal approval of colors/graphics as your printed piece comes off the press if you so desire. While only a very small percentage of customers request either option, we can make arrangements with you as to when your piece will be printed. Please check with your account executive as to the time of printing if you desire this option.

Please note: Since we have a production schedule and print many different jobs in the course of a day, we must schedule the most economical use of our press time. Delaying printing of a scheduled job may hinder the originally scheduled delivery date.

Take a Proofing Quiz

How good are you at proofreading? Take the proofing quiz below. See if you can find the errors in the two paragraphs.

THE QUIZ

"The threat of terrorism that we face at the begining of this milennium is substantial", he warned. "Yet its not overwhelming. With proper safeguards, extremists will not effect our society in any significant manner.
