Commercial/Offset
Printing
In reality, your printed piece will only be as good
as the presses and the people who run them. Over 25 years of successful
printing experience meeting customer needs has taught us the necessity
of talented printers and efficient presses.
First, our dedicated printers have been meeting customers
needs for an average of over 10 years each. Two shifts running from
the early morning to late night hours with occasionally scheduled
weekends promote on- and before-time delivery of jobs.
Secondly, our
presses are equipped to handle the simplest business card or flyer
to a 4-color piece. We print 1, 2, or 4 color jobs. Our presses are
utilized for maximum efficiency - our higher speed smaller presses
for envelopes/bcs and simpler jobs, and our larger ones for larger,
multicolored jobs. This eliminates inefficient press time and ultimately
results in cost savings.

Equipment
Our equipment is regularly updated to keep pace with demand.
Our state-of-the-art presses have such names as A.B. Dick, Heidelberg
and Davidson.
Our full service print shop includes equipment for colating,
folding, binding, shrink wrapping, cutting, punching, scoring and producing
negatives and plates. Our employees include those that have specific
skills in different areas of production for maximum efficiency.
We offer several forms of negative/plate production.
- Our Panther imagesetter produces sharp images for spot or 4-color
print production at 2400 dpi. Individual negatives are then processed
with our Kodak Developer and then stripped into position for metal
plate production. This process will produce the sharpest image on
the finished product.
- We also offer direct image to plate transmittal with an AB Dick
Digital Platemaker 2508. It skips the intermediary steps of stripping
and plate burning while producing a high quality image with fast turnaround
at reduced costs. This platemaker takes files directly from our computers
and produces plates to be run on the presses. This more economical
means is available on a number of jobs. Check with your account executive
for more information.
- Cameras can shoot camera-ready copy and transfer it to printing
plates. While the most inexpensive, it is only used where there is
only one color on the job and no screens or grayscales graphics or
photos.
- We also have a color laser printer for special jobs and color proofs.
Our Computer Systems includes three systems:
- Our Mac department consists of our graphic design and prepress systems.
All our negatives are sent to our imagesetter from our Mac department.
The department features several Macs including a G4, scanners and
laser printers. We can scan most items, including slides and transparencies
and use the image for a printed product.
- Our PC department is used for more straight forward, non graphic
production for speed and accuracy. Our e-mail comes in to both our
PC and Mac departments.
- Sales/account executives, accounting and customer services constitutes
a third system.
An intranet (LAN) runs through our 2 connected NT systems
so account executives, PC department, accounting and customer service
can log and track any job in the system.
Bindery/Finishing
Most printing will usually need bindery and/or finishing
services. We're completely equipped to give your job the finishing touch.
