Eagle Graphics, Inc. has extensive electronic prepress services available to our clients. These include scanning, photo editing/retouching photos, disk conversion, electronic file transfer and imagesetting.
GRAPHICS Our scans are calibrated to our printing presses to insure that your final printed product are true to the photo/graphic scanned. Our black/white scans are done at a minimum of 600 to 1200 dpi to produce crisp black/white images. Other scanning settings can be made at your request. After scanning, we'll crop and place your image(s) into any applications
we support in any position if you so desire. You'll be shown proofs
of any placement to insure accuracy in fulfilling your needs. After scanning, we can flow the text into any program we support. We can format and/or design the text into whatever look you so desire.
After scanning photos and/or graphics, we can
the image according to your specifications. We can combine photos/graphics with others in many cases, or convert them into different formats using advanced techniques with Adobe Photoshop. Check with your account executive for more details.
We can convert your previously designed job to the appropriate output when it's received in a compatible format. Please check the applications we support below. We can output it to b/w or color laser copies, photographic plates or film. Please include a hard copy or a PDF file for us to insure the accurateness of your job. We'll produce a proof copy (b/w or color laser) for you to inspect to insure the accuracy of your job before we'll print it. A dylux proof of your job from our presses is also available. Before you submit a disk for conversion, please check our design/printing tips to save you time and expense. For your convenience, we can receive your jobs on the following types of disks:
Electronic File Transfer is a fast and reliable way to submit your jobs to us. Many customers frequently and regularly submit their jobs this way. At present, we can receive your files fast and easy through several methods:
Through our special upload page, you can upload your files directly to our web site where we can begin to immediately process them. Advantages are: Files can be sent two at a time. When you send files via our web site, please keep uploading until all are confirmed sent.
We can receive your completed files via attachments to e-mail. Please send them to sales@eaglegraphicsprinters.com. Please check to make sure that your ISP is able to handle the size of attachment you are sending. If it is not, your ISP may prevent the transmission of the entire e-mail. Or it may just strip off the attachment and send the e-mail only. Servers on our end can handle attachments sizes up to 50 MB. Please call to make sure your attachment has arrived. Please fax (781-318-2299) a hard copy or send a PDF file along with your job so we can insure its accuracy. If you so choose to use this method of submission, please contact your sales representative first so they can be prepared for its arrival. We have both a Mac and PC system. If you desire us to work on your file in some way on our PC system, please remember to include file extensions on all files you send to us, if at all possible. This will save time since we will quickly be able to recognize the application it was created in.

The few extra minutes spent checking for these items will save you both time and money if we find they're missing from your job. See design checklist for further helps.
Our imagesetter will output your job at 2400 dpi and 133 lines per inch assuring a crisp image. We produce our negatives reversed, emulsion side down. Other variations are available. Please contact your sales representative for details. We also have a Digital Platemaker which produces a plate ready for press direct from our computers. This may be a cost effective means for producing your next job. Please check with your account executive for details. High speed color or black/white laser copying may also be a cheaper alternative in many circumstances. We have the capability to economically produce sharp looking printed products for shorter runs on our Docucolor Laser Printer. Please make sure that the applications you used are compatible with our current applications. If not, there may be a delay. Please see below.

Your
printed text can be scanned using our state-of-the-art OCR (Optical
Character Recognition) programs. It'll be spell checked and proof read
to insure accuracy. The text can be saved in any application we support
or as ASCII text.
